Kathleen Whitchurch - Kat’s passion is helping people to be present in their body again. When people experience major life events, face deadlines, daily stress at work, or need help recovering from chronic pain or injury it can be common to feel removed from one’s body. Kat has many techniques that she uses to allow our bodies and minds to reconnect, relax and heal.
Kat draws on training in a variety of modalities including Thai Massage, Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lomi Lomi, and Prenatal Massage. Lending to these practices, she borrows from many years of dance and contact improvisation, yoga, the study of Body Mind Centering®, and a Reiki level one attunement.
A 2012 graduate of Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, Kat is Nationally Board Certified in Massage. She studied Traditional Thai Massage at The Shivagakomarpaj Old Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand and at the Thai Institute of Healing Arts in Arlington, VA. She also studied Thai Massage with Damion Bond, in Richmond, VA, MFR with Howard Rontal, and Prenatal Massage with Clair Marie Miller.
Kat has great energy and is excited to jump in at Chrysalis Chiropractic and get out into the community of Del Ray! You may just see her and her family hanging out or walking down the Avenue as she loves that her family calls Alexandria home!!

As many of us know education is continuous and Rebecca has recently received her Master's in Elementary Education from George Washington University and will be working as a 3rd grade Math and Science teacher in Arlington beginning in the fall. Rebecca is very excited about her new chapter in life she will be doing a combination of what she loves - teaching children during the week and sharing wellness on the weekends here at Chrysalis Chiropractic.
